Back-In RV Sites in Pigeon Forge, TN
Full Hookups, Concrete Pads & the Perfect Smoky Mountain Base
Not every great RV trip needs a pull-through. For plenty of experienced campers, backing in is second nature — and the reward is a site that feels more private, more tucked away, and more like a real home base than a pass-through spot. Our Back-In RV Sites at Pigeon Forge RV Resort deliver exactly that: large, level concrete pads with full hookups, fire rings, picnic tables, and a choice of settings that lets you camp the way you like.
Whether you park near the pool for easy access to the waterslide, choose a site with a meadow view for open sky and a breeze, or settle into a quieter spot toward the back of the property, the back-in sites give you flexibility without compromising on comfort. At $75 per night on average, they represent one of the strongest value options at the resort for full-hookup camping.
What You Get at Every Back-In Site
Our Back-In RV Sites are built for campers who know what they want and don't need to compromise. Here's what every site includes:
Full Hookups — Water, Electric, and Sewer. Every back-in site at PFRV comes with complete full hookup service. Water, 20-amp, 30-amp, and 50-amp electric, and sewer connections are all at your site. There's no dump station run mid-trip, no rationing the holding tanks. You're set up for however long you want to stay.
Large Concrete Pads. Our concrete pads are spacious and level — ideal for setting up your rig without worrying about soft ground, leveling challenges, or muddy conditions after rain. Concrete means clean, stable, and low-maintenance throughout your stay.
Beautiful Backdrop — Meadow Views and Wooded Privacy. Back-in sites at PFRV are located against the property line, with an expansive meadow behind them on some sites and wooded surroundings on others. Either way, you get a sense of privacy and space that feels genuinely removed from the road.
Fire Ring and Picnic Table. Every site includes its own fire ring and picnic table. Evenings around the fire are one of the best parts of any camping trip, and you won't need to bring extra equipment to make it happen. Firewood is sold at the camp store.
Your Choice of Setting. Within the back-in category, you can choose a site closer to the pool for a more social vibe or one further from the activity for a quieter experience. When you book, browse available sites and select the location that fits your trip best.
Pets Welcome — No Pet Fee. All PFRV sites are pet-friendly at no additional charge. Bring up to 2 pets per site. The on-site dog park offers a fenced, off-leash area for your pup to run and play.

Back-In vs. Other Site Types — Which Is Right for You?
Not sure if a back-in site is the right choice for your rig and travel style? Here's a quick comparison to help you decide.
Back-In vs. Pull-Through: Pull-through sites let you drive straight in and out — no reversing required. They're ideal for very long rigs, campers towing a vehicle, or anyone who prefers maximum ease at setup. Back-in sites are better for campers comfortable with reversing, those who prefer the feel of a more enclosed, private site, or rigs up to 47 feet. Both site types at PFRV include full hookups.
Back-In vs. Signature Premium: The Signature Premium sites are our largest and most requested, at over 65 feet and positioned closest to the creek. If waterfront proximity and maximum length are priorities, the Premium sites are worth the upgrade. Back-in sites offer comparable amenities at a slightly lower price point and with more location variety across the property.
Back-In vs. Creekside Partial Hookup: The creekside sites offer a natural grass surface and the sounds of the creek, but are partial hookup only (no sewer). If full hookup is a firm requirement, the back-in sites are the better choice.
Your Base for the Smoky Mountains
Pigeon Forge RV Resort sits in an ideal location for exploring one of the most popular vacation destinations in the Southeast. From your back-in site, everything is within easy reach.
Dollywood is 6 miles away — about 14 minutes by car. It's one of the most acclaimed theme parks in the country, and the proximity from PFRV means you can spend a full day at the park and still make it back in time for a relaxed evening at your site.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers hundreds of miles of trails, scenic overlooks, and wildlife viewing areas. Whether you prefer a short nature walk or a full-day summit hike, the park is one of the easiest national parks in the country to access from a base camp like ours.
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are packed with dining, entertainment, shopping, and attractions for every age. The famous Parkway puts dinner shows, mountain coasters, outlet malls, and distillery tours all within a short drive.
And when the day is done, you drive back to a full-hookup site, a fire in the ring, and the quiet of the Tennessee mountains around you.
